Welcome to the Casebrook Intermediate website.

Here at Casebrook we believe that emerging adolescents are a unique age group and we are committed to meeting their needs.

The pace of technological development means that the future is something we can't begin to envisage. As such, its our job to ensure we provide our students with the knowledge and skills that allow them to think creatively and to teach them problem solving techniques to confidently and effectively meet future challenges.

Our learning environment is supported by a strong focus on values. Through these values we develop within each student a strong sense of self worth and recognise their importance as a member of our Casebrook community. Read more...

Announcements

  • Congratulations Gold Badge Winners for Term 1: Over 200 gold badge winners for this term. A new Casebrook record. Well done to everyone who achieved a badge this term.  
  • Sport coaches required:  Winter Sport at Casebrook Intermediate is starting in week 3 next term. We are after coaches that could travel down to Hagley every Tuesday afternoon with the team. You don’t need to take the team for trainings as a teacher at school can do that for you. Please email Mr Mark Russell at mrussell@casebrook.school.nz if this sounds like you.  The sports available are Rugby, Hockey, Netball, and Football.
  • Performing Arts Camp:   It is still not too late to enrol your child into the Performing Arts Camp. This is a fantastic time. Hard copies of the notice that was in the last newsletter is in the office. After your Teacher Conference on either Monday 14th April or Wednesday 16th April please pick up a copy.   • Inspiring Writers: Congratulations to Harry Anderson and Tai-iba Hassanian who have had their writing published in a collection called 'Beyond This Story'. We are really proud of their achievement!

  • Homestays Wanted
    We are currently updating our list of homestay families and are looking for caring families who may be interested in hosting an International Student. If you are interested in hosting a student, either on a short term or long term basis please email the School Office (office@casebrook.school.nz) with your name and contact details.
